PILGRIM
Art making is expressive ex-ploration. The process of work-ing and re-working imagery inevitably becomes homage, a pilgrimage to discover a final creation. In that sense the od-yssey of exploration evolves as a type of Destiny.
Pictures of the Pilgrim series portray lone individuals expe-riencing profound moments on their quest toward destiny. The works often draw upon the distinct and arresting power of singular presence. Subjects appear in a state of reverie or focused upon something that exists beyond the realm of the picture. Perhaps they wish to explore the unknown, seeking to understand the ever unfold-ing Mystery.
